"Yokohama Kyogen-do" is a popular event held on the second Sunday of every month at the Yokohama Noh Theater. During the summer vacation, we will hold a special "Children's Kyogen Hall". The performances are "Kaki Yamabushi," in which a mountain priest who stole a persimmon attempts to deceive him by impersonating an animal, and "Shimizu," in which Taro Kaja, who does not want to go to fetch water, pretends to be a demon and tries to intimidate his master. 2 songs.
After watching Kyogen, Living National Treasure Tojiro Yamamoto will talk about the program and Kyogen. This is a performance where both children and adults can enjoy the profound charm of Kyogen, which has been performed for many years and is now registered as a World Heritage Site.
