LE VELVETS

~PROFILE~

Formed in 2008. The group's name was given to them by music critic Reiko Yukawa, and comes from the soft, elegant, and smooth fabric "Velvet". All members graduated from the vocal music department of a music college and were selected based on their height of over 180 cm.

A vocal group consisting of Hironobu Miyahara (baritone), Ryuhiko Saga (tenor), Shinichiro Hino (tenor), and Takanori Sato (tenor). The four members freely express various genres of songs, from classical to rock, pop, jazz, and Japanese folk songs, creating a unique world through their harmony. They have performed nationwide at venues such as Orchard Hall, NHK Hall (Tokyo), and Festival Hall (Osaka), while each member has also participated in a wide range of musicals.

In 2023, the group will celebrate its 15th anniversary, and their first best album ("LE VELVETS 15th Anniversary THE BEST ~ROMANTiCA~") will include a new song, "ROMANTiCA ~Prayer of Love~," with lyrics by Yukawa Reiko, music by Hakase Taro, and arrangement by Takebe Satoshi.

In May 2024, the group will hold its annual spring concert, "Because of you 2024."
