Born in Yokohama in 1998. He started playing the koto at the age of 9 and studied under both Curtis Patterson and Kazue Sawai.
At the age of 16, she became the youngest person ever to win the Grand Prize and the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award at the Kumamoto National Japanese Music Competition. She was suddenly thrown into the limelight and made her major debut at the age of 19 in 2017. In the same year, she entered Tokyo University of the Arts. She has appeared in many media outlets, including "Jonetsu Tairiku," "Untitled Concert," and "Tetsuko's Room." She has performed with Sebastian Weigle, Michiyoshi Inoue, Kazuyoshi Akiyama, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Kyoto Symphony Orchestra.
She performed the world premiere of a new Koto Concerto commissioned by Dai Fujikura, with the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra conducted by Masato Suzuki. She also attracted attention for being the first koto player to hold a live performance at Blue Note Tokyo and making an unusual appearance at SUMMER SONIC. She has received the Idemitsu Music Award, the Kanagawa Culture Award Future Award, and the Yokohama Culture Award Culture and Arts Encouragement Award. He is a talented young man who is pursuing new charms for the koto while inheriting tradition, and is attracting attention and expectations.

In addition to solo performances of his own compositions and projects such as "Ma wo Kanaderu," which is based on the concept of live ensemble, he also performs acoustically with various musicians such as Lisa Ono, Sadao Watanabe, Naruyoshi Kikuchi, Asuka Murray, Seigen Tokuzawa, Kazuma Fujimoto, and Akiko. Her style, which incorporates a wide variety of musical elements and fuses her unique, humorous, static songwriting with delicate performances, has earned her high praise both in Japan and abroad. She has participated in many studio projects with a wide range of artists, including Jun Miyake and Ringo Shiina. As a composer, she was responsible for the music for the 2016 stage play "Kakushi Onna" (starring Kuroki Haru / written and directed by Nagai Ai), the 2017 stage play "Orlando" (starring Tabe Mikako / directed by Shirai Akira), and the 2021 film "Subarashiki Sekai" (directed by Nishikawa Miwa, starring Yakusho Koji).
