When you read stories, bad people sometimes become good people because of an incident.
Also, in other stories, people who used to be friends betray each other and end up becoming enemies.
Brothers who were once close to each other may hate each other, or a person who was once so kind may become cruel.
At such times, I wonder what the person in question is thinking.
Does a person's personality really change, or does it just change the relationship with the other person?
The setting for this work is ``Kameya Gontarou''.
This seems to be a long-established Japanese confectionery shop that has been around since the Edo period.
They still continue to make the delicate sweets that were eaten back then.
Workers have pride and customers praise them.
However, everything changes as soon as the situation changes.
This is a story that takes a bird's-eye view of the history of a Japanese sweets shop and looks at the lives of its people.
