2025 New Year's Open the Yarai Noh Theater＆Museum！
【新春公演】新春 能楽堂散歩 in 矢来能楽堂 2025
Yarai Noh Theatre's New Year's performance.
Aimed at foreigners and those new to Noh,
the Noh play "Funabenkei" will be performed with easy-to-understand text and commentary.
・Commentary (Japanese and English) by Yamanaka Reiko (Professor at Hosei University Noh Theatre Research Institute) (15 mins)
・First recitation! Let's all sing Noh together! (10 mins)
*Lyrics included in the free pamphlet
・Noh play "Funabenkei" (60 mins)
・Photo session (with explanations of costumes in Japanese and English)
*Subtitles will be available on smartphones during the Noh performance. (Using the free G-Mark app.)
*Before and after the performance (30 mins each), there will be an exhibition of Noh costumes and masks in the theater, and you can try on a Noh mask.
