【あらすじ】

――昔々

　北の国、東の国は西の大国の侵攻に備え、同盟を結ぶ決意をする。犬猿の仲だった両国を仲立ちするのは、山の神に仕える巫女、緋弦。

　同盟締結の為、山中の神社には北の家老、東の領主の息子、同盟を支援する商人や医師が集められる。だが、彼らの胸には一抹の不安が。西が同盟阻止の為に「狼」と呼ばれる刺客を放ったというのだ。

　やがて緋弦が現れる。赤い頭巾を被った従者を連れて。

　ここが雪に閉ざされた、狼の檻だとも知らず。

[Synopsis]

--once upon a time

The northern country and the eastern country decide to form an alliance in preparation for the invasion of the western powers. Higen, a shrine maiden who serves the god of the mountain, acts as an intermediary between the two countries, which had been on a dog-and-monkey relationship.

In order to conclude an alliance, the chief retainer of the north, the son of the lord of the east, merchants and doctors who support the alliance are gathered at the shrine in the mountains.
