能楽師の卒業試験と言われる「道成寺」。この大曲に初めて挑んだのは2009年でした。「道成寺」の披演を機に自身の研鑽の場として「能まつり」を立ち上げました。今回、節目の15周年を迎え、再び大曲「道成寺」に挑戦いたします。「赤頭」という小書で演じます。

「道成寺」は秘事口伝の集大成の曲なので、一瞬たりとも気の抜けない山場の連続となります。後半のシテの出で立ちが赤頭、緋長袴に替わり、通常より激しい情念をぶつけます。
