Suutai Kamiuta
In the solemn and pure air, the old man sings "At last tarari tararira" and the sacred ceremony begins...
"Okina" is a sacred Shinto performing art that preserves the ancient state of Noh, and is called "Noh but not Noh". Chitose, Okina, and Sanbaso one after another will perform "Okina," which is a pre-celebration of the peace of the world and a bountiful harvest.
Kyogen Sado Fox
The Echigo peasants who went up to the capital to pay their annual tribute were to accompany the Sado peasants who also went to the capital. On the way, they got into an argument over whether there were foxes on Sado or not, so they decided to bet each other's swords on each other and have the player (the official acting as the intermediary) decide who was right. Although he insists that there are foxes in Sado, the farmer of Sado, who does not know what foxes are like, tries to win the bet by bribing the player and even learning the characteristics of foxes...
Based on the satire of bribing officials, it is a comedy depicting human foolishness in three different ways.
Noh Tenko Roukonomai
Later Han period in China. One child is born to a couple named Queen Mother. One day, she had a dream in which a drum that descended from heaven was inside her womb, and she became pregnant, so the child was named Tenko. Eventually, a drum actually descended from the heavens, and when the drum struck the drum, it made a strange sound. Hearing the rumor, the emperor tried to take the drum back to the palace, but Tenko regretted it and fled with it into the mountains. However, Tenko is finally killed by Emperor's pursuers and immersed in the river. After obtaining the drum, the emperor ordered the drum to be played many times, but after the death of Tenko, the drum never sounded again. So the emperor summons Tenko's father, Wanghaku, and sends an imperial envoy to play the drum instead.
Asked to come to the court, Wanghaku heads to the capital to see the emperor who killed his child at a glance. In front of the drum that is a memento of his child, the prince laments over the separation of his son and his sleeves, but eventually makes up his mind to play the drum. Then the drum made a strange sound, as if responding to his father's wishes. The emperor felt pity that this was indeed a sign of parent and child, and after shedding tears, he gave the treasure to Ohaku, and promised to mourn for Tenko's mark with a kangenko (Japanese orchestra), and then sent him back to his private residence.
Before long, the tsuzumi were placed on the banks of the river, and while everyone was mourning for the kangenko, the evening moon rose and the spirit of the tenko appeared on the surface of the river.
When the spirit of the Tenko expresses gratitude for the funeral, she dances in the water and beats the drum, feeling the joy of beating her beloved drum. Before long, time passed, and when the night began to dawn, the spirit of Tenko vanished like a phantom before he could tell whether it was reality or a dream.
It depicts the grief and anger of a father who had his child killed, and the deep affection between a parent and child.
