This is the ninth concert in the solo recital series of Toshiharu Kotaki, a pianist who has been attracting attention as a solo ensemble pianist not only for classical music but also for his activities in various genres.
This time, we welcome pianist Masahiro Yonezu as a guest, and for the first time in the series, we will perform Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2 on two pianos, as well as a program full of transcendental techniques with piano four hands, including many original arrangements that cannot be heard anywhere else. Toshiharu Kotaki (piano)
Graduated from Tokyo College of Music Piano Performer Course. Completed graduate school at the same university.
Enrolled in school as a special scholarship student. In 2010, he served as a teaching assistant at the same university.
Passed the 18th ABC Rookie Concert Audition and appeared in a concert at The Symphony Hall. 1st place at the 14th Concert Marronnier 21. Performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4 with the Tochigi Symphony Orchestra. Semi-finalist of the 21st Brahms International Music Competition, gold prize of the 2nd FUGA International Music Competition. Won prizes in many competitions.
In addition to his active solo activities, since 2013 he has supported vocalist Toshl's solo live performances, co-starred in a piano duo with flower arrangement artist Shogo Kariyazaki, and performed a transcendental classical piano duo with pianist Masahiro Yonezu. Activities such as entertainment are wide-ranging, not limited to classical music.
He has released three solo albums, a live DVD, a piano instruction book, and many other participation works.
In 2019, he formed "Piano Shakuhachi INFINITY" with shakuhachi and shinobue artist Seimo Yamaguchi, and his first solo tour of three cities (Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka) was sold out. In addition to hall performances, there is a wide range of performances and concerts at [World Heritage] Koyasan Kongobuji [National Treasure] Iwashimizu Hachimangu Shrine, Kimiidera Temple, Dojoji Temple, Katsuoji Temple, etc., and appearances at events held at Tokyo Dome. doing activities.
In charge of the forte (piano) performance for MusiClavies, an anthropomorphic musical instrument project by Yamaha Music Entertainment Holdings.
In addition, he has composed many original songs by himself, and a new side of himself as a composer and pianist is attracting attention.

Masahiro Yonezu (piano) Tadahiro Yonezu
After attending Chiba Prefectural Makuhari Sogo High School, graduated from Tokyo College of Music majoring in instrumental music (piano player course). Graduated from the same graduate school at the top of his class. Enrolled as a special scholarship student during university and graduate school. In 2009, he was a teaching assistant at the same university.
After completing graduate school, he worked as a part-time assistant at his alma mater Tokyo College of Music at an unusually young age.
After that, in 2013 and 2014, he studied abroad at Italy's prestigious Imola Conservatory as a Rohm Music Foundation Scholarship to further his studies. 2007 2nd prize in the piano section of the 76th Music Competition of Japan. Received the Iwatani Award (Audience Award).
Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra, Chiba Symphony Orchestra,
Performed with various orchestras such as New Philharmonic Orchestra Chiba, Gross Vogel Philharmoniker, Tokyo College of Music Blazing Orchestra.
Performed at the Sendai Classical Festival 2011 and 2012, and at the Narita International Airport Lobby Concert.
Not limited to performance activities such as solo and chamber music, providing sound sources and articles with the motto of popularizing classical music,
TV appearances, volunteer activities, guidance for juniors, school performances for elementary school students to high school students,
Actively focus on outreach activities. He has studied under Eiko Terada, Junko Takanashi, Takashi Murakami, Takashi Hironaka, and Leonid Margarius.
