An annual Kumiodori appreciation class that parents and children can enjoy during the summer vacation. In the first part, titled "How to Enjoy Kumiodori", we will introduce the history of Kumiodori and points to appreciate it in a fun way.
In the second part, from the classic masterpieces, we will perform the Kumiodori "Nido Tekiuchi" (written by Chokun Tamaki), which was performed for the first time in 1719 at the reception of the envoy, mainly by students who have completed the training at this theater. In addition, a theater backstage tour (held on 7/29 (Sat) and 7/30 (Sun) *application required) will be held exclusively for those who have purchased tickets for this performance. Why not take this opportunity to experience Okinawa's world-famous traditional performing art, Kumiodori, which has been registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Subtitles are available, and an earphone guide (Japanese and English) is available free of charge.
