"I just woke up and I'm here. Where am I? There's a house. How do I get to the thread shop?"
A house where women sell their life stories. A young girl named Mayu, searching for her mother, gets lost there. The only memory they have left is smell... The two women speak of love, a curse, or a thread of blood.

"Thread Hell" is a masterpiece play by Kishida Rio that depicts a girl with amnesia searching for her mother and the revolution she is about to undertake. A group of specialists in Terayama Shuji's storytelling have boldly turned it into a film production, a fantasy drama that combines images, music and narration. To commemorate the nationwide release of the DVD of "Ito Jigoku Sho," we will be presenting a special digest live performance. In addition to the cast of the film, an avant-garde party will be held, inviting people familiar with the works of Terayama Shuji and Kishida Rio, including those from the theatre laboratory Universal Gravitation, Kobayashi Keita, Mori Yoko, and Noguchi Kazumi, director of Seigakan Theatre Company!
