【Story】
1989年、名古屋。リオ（20）はサキ・メイと共に歌・ダンスでお金を稼ぐ為、興行ビザでフィリピンから来日。だが、三人はパブでの接客を強いられる。予想外の出来事に戸惑いながらも、母国の家族の為、支え合いながら毎日明るく働いていた。半年後、リオはパブで出会った伊藤健司と結婚し、娘の桜を出産する。2007年、桜は「ハーフ」*であることを周囲に言わないまま高校生になっていたが、とある事を機にクラスメイトに知られ、困惑してしまう。桜は周囲の人々と衝突しながらも、少しずつ自分が「ハーフ」であること、そしてフィリピン生まれの母・リオと向き合っていく。

【Story】
1989, Nagoya. Rio (20) comes to Japan from the Philippines on an entertainment visa with Saki Mei to earn money by singing and dancing. However, the three are forced to serve customers at a pub. Although they are confused by the unexpected turn of events, they work cheerfully every day, supporting each other for the sake of their families in their home country. Six months later, Rio marries Kenji Ito, whom she met at the pub, and gives birth to a daughter, Sakura. In 2007, Sakura becomes a high school student without telling anyone that she is "half"*, but a certain incident causes her classmates to find out and she is confused. Although Sakura clashes with the people around her, she gradually comes to terms with the fact that she is "half" and with her mother Rio, who was born in the Philippines.
