概要

琉球王朝の宮廷から、明治以降の市井まで、各時代の背景によりうまれた多様な＜琉球舞踊＞。琉球王の代替わりの際に訪れる中国からの使者・冊封使をもてなすために琉球王朝で創作された、音楽・台詞・所作からなる式楽＜組踊＞。今回の組踊は、組踊の祖・玉城朝薫（たまぐすく・ちょうくん）作として、今日も上演される朝薫五番のうち春秋座では最後の紹介となる『二童敵討』を上演します。無実の罪を着せられ殺された父をもつ兄弟による勇ましくも美しい仇討ち劇をお届けします。

Overview
