国内外の多数の振付家の作品にダンサーとして参加し、自身でも作品制作を行う中間アヤカ。神戸を拠点に活動する90年代生まれの注目株だ。本作は、2019年に初演された中間のソロ作品『フリーウェイ・ダンス』を、京都版としてリ・クリエーションしたものとなる。

この作品では、中間が京都在住者等に「それぞれが初めて踊った時の記憶」を取材し、その「記憶」から中間のダンスが振り付けられる。会場空間を“造園”し、ごちゃごちゃとしたモノやコトで鏤め、4時間に及ぶ上演時間の中、「庭」で立ち上がるダンスは、極めて私的な記憶から出発しながら、小宇宙に広がるムーブメントのようであり、観客は、「庭」を自由に散歩しながら作品を体感していく。ここには、舞台も客席も、ダンサーと観客、作品が始まって終わるという仕切りすらなく、いわば「上演空間上のバーチャルな庭」ですべてが渾然一体となる心地よさがあるのだ。従来の創作方法を軽やかかつ過激に解体しながら、ダンス作品の可能性が新しく開かれる様子をぜひ目撃しよう。

Intermediate Ayaka that participated as a dancer in a number of choreographers of work at home and abroad, carry out the work production in itself. It is a noteworthy stock born in the 90's based in Kobe. This work is a re-creation of the intermediate solo work "Freeway Dance" that premiered in 2019 as the Kyoto version.

In this work, Naka interviews Kyoto residents and others about "memories when each danced for the first time", and the middle dance is choreographed from that "memory". The venue space is "landscaping", messed up with cluttered things and things, and during the four-hour performance time, the dance that stands up in the "garden" is a movement that spreads out into the microcosm, starting from an extremely private memory. It seems that the audience can experience the work while freely walking in the "garden". There is no partition between the stage and the audience, the dancer and the audience, and the work begins and ends, so to speak, there is the comfort of being united in a "virtual garden on the performance space." Let's witness the opening up of new possibilities for dance works while lightly and radically dismantling traditional creative methods.

After graduating from Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance (London), participated as a scholarship student in the first term of "Study Abroad in Japan @ Kobe" and received the Dancer Encouragement Award. In recent years, while appearing in works by Mika Kurosawa, Rena Kimura, contact Gonzo, chelfitsch, etc., she also creates her own works. Dance Box Associate Artist since 2018.
