The exhibition, which is supervised by the general director Hideaki Anno and the color of the production company, will unveil 300 pieces of precious raw original drawings and setting materials of "New Movie version" series 3 works. We will look back on the activities of popular characters such as Shinji Ikari and Rei Ayanami, and the story of magnificent scales vividly.
Furthermore, the process of creating cutting-edge images with a vast amount of about 1000 images, such as storyboards, layouts, original drawings and videos, is carefully linked. In addition, the cell series of the TV series and the comic copy reproduced by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto will be displayed to introduce the history from the birth of the work to the present.
Before the release of the final part, "Shin EVANGELION Theatrical Edition", the long-awaited exhibition opens.
■ Highlights
It is a composition that unravels the charm of "EVANGELION" focusing on the original pictures and materials of "New Movie Version" series.
Chapter 1 introduces the history from the early days to the latest series with TV series production materials and cell drawings, and a comic copy of Yoshiyuki Sadamoto.
In the next two chapters, we will excerpt the powerful battle scenes from the movie ": Break" and screen them, and come back to the making of the animation with 1000 pieces of materials such as picture frames, original pictures and videos drawn in the production process.
In Chapters 3 and 4, about 300 points are released, including valuable setting materials for determining the design of characters and mechanics, backgrounds and accessories, and hand-drawn raw original drawings that indicate the movement of animations, and the "new theater version" We look back on the impressive scenes and great scenes up to the latest series.
In addition, a large number of stationery, sundries, and specially made figures will be sold using illustrations drawn down for this exhibition.
■ With EVANGELION
The "EVANGELION" is a boy and girl in a huge creature-like weapon fighting the apostle, who is an unknown life form.
The broadcast of the television series began in 1995. It caused social phenomena with mysterious story development and visual beauty. In 2007, a series of the feature-length animation movie "EVANGELION New Movie Edition", which reorganized the TV series, started and gained new fans.
Following Part 1 ": Introduction" and Part 2 ": Break", Part 3 ": Q", which was released in the fall of 2012, talks about more evolved video expressions and storyline development that exceeds fan expectations.
