今、世界が注目するアーティストたちが山口に集結！

国内外の最先端のサウンド・アート、音楽表現を紹介するライブコンサートシリーズ「sound tectonics（サウンド・テクトニクス）」の第23弾です。今回は異なる場所とシーンで活躍する2組のアーティストによるライブコンサートを開催します。

今回出演するのは、チリのサンティアゴを拠点とし、アンデスの古典音楽の影響を受けたミニマル・サイケロック・バンドのFöllakzoid（フォラクゾイド）。そして、主にテクノDJとして千葉を拠点に世界で活動しており、日本人DJで最も注目されている人物のひとりであるDJ NOBUです。世界有数のハイクオリティな音響システムのもとで、彼らがパフォーマンスを行う貴重な機会をお楽しみください。

チリのサンティアゴを拠点とするFöllakzoid（フォラクゾイド）は10年前に幼少期からの友人である、Diego、Juan、Domingaeの３人で結成された、トランス体験を誘うミニマル・サイケロック・バンド。アンデス地方の古典音楽の知識を、現在のコンテンポラリーなサウンドとテクノロジーと融合させ、エレクトロニックかつオーガニックな音楽空間を創り出す。米Sacred Bonesから2013年に発表された”II”、2015年の”III”に次ぐ、今年発表されたアルバム”I”は、時空の知覚を溶解させることを目的とし、より延長された尺の中で、次第に要素を削ぎ落としていくことによって到達した怪作である。

一つのスタイルに踏みとどまらず、幅広い世界の音楽を引き出し、彼にしか作りえない唯一無二のサウンドスペースを現出させる、卓越した実力を持つDJ。彼のDJを知る人にとってはちょっとしたカルト・フィギュア（熱狂的人気の対象）であり、その二十年余りに渡る経験は、厚い信頼を得ているパーティーFuture Terrorや、主宰レーベルBitta、いくつかの音源やミックスなどとなってリリースされている。ここ数年にわたる活動の中で、ゆっくりと確実に、「日本のシーンの中心的存在」から、「フレキシブルでありなおかつ進化を続ける、世界で最も有望なセレクター」というあらたなる評価を獲得するに至った。
